This UKF team went to a second location during the afternoon, this was not far from Newhay Quarry, and only a short drive away. We examined the beds at Besom Hill. Several members found Calamities although many specimens were poorly preserved. Some plant material was also found, but this was only fragmented. Overall fossils at this site are not common.
